Good to see some segregated bike lanes on London Road past Celtic Park/Emirates. Would be better if it went right to junctions but some good stretches. Painted lanes only further east after One-O-One - predictable parking issue around Braid ... [more]

Jodrell Bank 11 mph speed limit Ed: Hmmm, the only eleven related astronomy number I can think of is https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Escape_velocity which from Earth is 11 km/s. That would be a minimum speed limit sign, no ?

  • Icon 143890 I have two points to make.Building a bridge here would halve the walking distance from Iford Lane to Christchurch Train Station from 30 minutes to 15 minutes. Also Barrack Road isn't a very nice road to cycle along. A bridge here would make it quicker to get between Iford/Boscombe and Chirstchurch but also safer
  • Icon 143889 Kilburn High Road is a major Town centre and public transport interchange with 3 stations (brondesbury, Kilburn and Kilburn High Road) multitude of busses and no space for pedestrians. Pavements need to be widen on the whole length to obtain a minimum ussable public pavement space of 3 to 4m. Remove parking except for loading at very restricted times.
  • Icon 143888 Kingsgate and Lowfield Roads and netherwoood streets are being used as a rat run to avoide Kilburn High Road. Create a traffic filter at the Junction of Nether wwod street and Lowfiled Roas, preventing motorised traffic to enter lowfield road and Sherrif Road from Nether wood Street. Sheriff Road is already one way. This would significantly reduce rat run traffic while still allowing busniss access and residential access.
  • Icon 143887 Create a sgreagated dual ways cycle way on Iverson Road and make Iverson Road one way trafic only East to West. This road is a real rat run and could easily accomodate a segregated cycle way linking West End Lane and Kilburn High Road. A segregated cycle way could be created on Kilburn High Road between Iverson Road and Christchurch Avenue (pleanty of space on this part of the Kilburn High Road.
  • Icon 143886 Filter traffic to and from Fordwych Road to Maygrove Road. Most traffic clogging up Maygrove Road, that has a school comes from or goes to Fordwych Road to avoid West End Lane and or Shoot-up Hill. This together with no right turn from Kilburn High Road to maygrove Road would reduce traffic and allow for the Quiet cycle way to be improved and finally implemented
  • Icon 143885 'Keep left' signs on the Shore Road pavements from Alington Road all the way round to Sandbanks Hotel (and beyond). Runners and pedestrians wander all over the pathways making social distancing difficult!!
  • Icon 143884 Modal filter to remove through traffic
  • Icon 143883 Fix the traffic lights so they detect cycles. When no other vehicles present, the lights will not change for a cyclist.
  • Icon 143882 Either ban on street parking or ban large vehicles using Bargates to create space for safe cycling and pedestrian routes. This would also improve traffic flow and pollution from stationary vehicles.
  • Icon 143881 Build new bridge for cyclists and pedestrians to link to paths through gardens and Wick etc. Bridge too busy with motorists and pavements too narrow
  • Icon 143880 This section is one-way but is the only connection towards the academy that avoids busy streets - cyclists (esp. pupils) should be allowed in a contraflow.
  • Icon 143879 Connect Charlotte st. with Unicorn rd. and Marketway with wider pavement or a cycle path.
